About Me & Why I’m Raising Funds

My name is Damion “Eliyahu” Rochester — an actor, filmmaker, and creative committed to shifting the narrative of Black Hebrew identity, fatherhood, and faith through the art of cinema.

I’m raising funds to complete and release my short film On or Before Two Weeks, now in its final stage of post-production. This story shines a light on Black Hebrew families — their love, kindness, pain, and healing — perspectives rarely seen on screen.

About the Film

On or Before Two Weeks follows a devoted Hebrew father and husband whose life changes when artificial intelligence replaces his marketing team — only for that same technology to later save his wife’s life.

As he learns to balance his wife’s recovery, the weight of fatherhood, and the need to keep his family whole, he’s also guiding:

a teenage daughter learning independence and love, and

a son struggling with confidence after barely making the soccer team.

This story explores faith, family, and modern technology through a deeply spiritual lens — showing how Elohim's presence remains constant, even when life tests our strength.

We rarely see stories of Black Hebrew families portrayed with tenderness and authenticity — where love, faith, and divine resilience take center stage.

This film is a love letter to families who choose faith over fear, and to fathers who carry light in dark times. It’s about real healing, unity, and the beauty of our covenant with the Most High expressed through modern storytelling.

How the Funds Will Be Used

We’re in the final stretch — completing sound, editing, and preparing for festival release. Every dollar goes directly toward bringing this vision to life:

Final sound design & post-production — $2,500

Editing & color correction — $2,000

Private screening (venue, AV, catering) — $1,500

Festival submissions & travel (Jan–June) — $2,500

Marketing, posters & merchandise — $1,500

Goal: $10,000
