Hello,

My name is Elnaz, and I’m an international Master’s student of Biomedical Engineering in Italy. Over the past year, I’ve been facing serious financial challenges, and I’m now reaching out because I need support to be able to complete my studies.

Last year, I had to retake an exam that I unfortunately didn’t pass the first time. As a result, I lost my scholarship, which had been a vital source of financial support and had allowed me to manage an already very tight budget. Losing the scholarship also meant that I had to repay the financial support I had previously received, while continuing to cover the tuition fees for my Master’s degree.

Since then, I have been struggling to cover not only my tuition fees and the money I now have to repay, but also the basic costs of living as a student in Italy. Rent, food, transportation and other everyday expenses have gradually become overwhelming. For a long time, I was able to manage by relying heavily on my parents, who have done everything they could to support me. Unfortunately, due to the current conflict in my country, they are no longer able to provide me with the financial help I need.

At this point, my financial situation has become extremely difficult. I am trying to manage to pay the tuition fees, the repayment of the scholarship, the student loan, and my living expenses at the same time. I have also been actively looking for a part-time job, but finding employment has been extremely difficult, especially because I do not speak Italian well enough.

It has been a lifelong dream of mine to study and live in Europe, to experience its cultures, connect with its people, and have the opportunity to build a life with the greater freedom and opportunities I have found here, especially as a woman. I have worked incredibly hard to make this dream a reality, and now, with only my final semester remaining, it is heart breaking to feel that financial difficulties could prevent me from reaching the finish line.

My greatest goal right now is simply to finish my Master’s degree and complete what I have worked so hard for. Any support, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference. It would help me cover my tuition fees, repay the financial support I owe, and meet my basic living expenses while I complete my studies.
