We are really looking forward to YANA Village 3 being finished very soon. With your help over the last year we have done so much and we are so close to creating a new home for Matthew and lots of other children who are living with medical challenges.
These children will have safe places to sleep and study and be close to the hospital to get to the medical appointments they need to attend. They will be prescribed treatments and medications to support their ongoing needs and begin to enjoy life the way that they should be- as children who are safe and supported!
On Tusa’s instagram page you can watch videos of the work done so far and what we as are close to finalising. With your support we were able to create a water supply! Thank you! We just need to finish the toilets and washrooms so this can all get connected for the kids to use.
It is also important to have some funds set aside to prepare for this and also for the unfortunate event of any medical emergency occurring for any of YANA’s young people, so a child can get access to a hospital and correct doctors very quickly.
Therefore, it is vital we also raise some money so that Tusa has a backup fund to accommodate this. Medications become very expensive, especially as some, such as insulin, will be required multiple times per day. This fund will also cover things like making sure a guardian can attend appointments with a child or stay with them in the hospital so they will not feel alone.
Finally, some of the last things needing to be built at Village 3 are clean solar water supply and a fence around the perimeters to ensure the safety of these children. Many of these young people have experienced a challenging start to their life so it’s vital to make sure they feel safe and secure in their new home so that they can focus on school and socialising with their new friends after their lessons.
We appreciate many of you have helped recently and in the past too and we know things are hard for everyone at the minute. We are so grateful for every single $, £ or €.
Your generosity is never taken for granted.
Thank you
