Help Find Missing Kirill Panov
Donation protected
Kirill Panov is 33 years old and has a number of mental health disabilities. He was evicted from his Section 8 housing 6 months ago and was homeless until March 9, when he was approved for a new Section 8 apartment, but he didn't have a chance to give his mother, Marina, the new address. On March 12, he told her on the phone that he was relieved and happy to have a safe place to stay and he was hopeful about the future. He was even planning to fly to see her in Florida within the next few weeks. Then, he disappeared. His phone isn't answered, no one at any of the locations he once frequented has seen him since March 12, and he has not been in touch. He even closed his case with his Behavioral Health center, so he may not be receiving the medications he needs to stay mentally balanced. Kirill struggles with Asperger's Syndrome, OCD, ADHD, and depression.
It is extremely unusual for him to be out of touch with his mother for more than 48 hours, and Marina is desperately trying to find him. Because we don't know his new address, a welfare check cannot be arranged with the police department. A missing persons report was filed on March 23, but his case is not high enough priority to warrant an investigation. Marina has retained a former police officer to investigate and serve as her local point of contact in California. He is working diligently to trace Kirill's steps and is making some progress.
Marina is a widow with limited income, but will go to any lengths to find her son. She needs to be able to pay her local investigator for at least another week so he can follow through on the leads he is getting. There may also come a point when she would need to fly to California to help her son when he is found.
As Marina's best friend, I am asking you to search your hearts and consider contributing to this urgent and immediate need for cash flow. If you are in the Los Angeles area and frequent the LaPuente, Alhambra, and Covina areas, we would be very grateful if you would keep your eyes open for him and report any sightings right away!
To be so far away and so out of touch is a frightening and worrying feeling for any parent. When mental health issues are in the equation, this is compounded. Please help in any way you can. Thank you!
