Finding Strength in the Storm

Life can change in an instant. On May 2nd, 2024, my world was turned upside down when I fell into a coma. I don’t remember those days, but I know that while I was unconscious, my loved ones held onto hope, praying that I would wake up. And when I finally did, I faced the hardest fight of my life. A long, painful recovery that has challenged me in ways I never could have imagined.

Every step of my recovery has been filled with uncertainty, frustration, and moments where I’ve wondered what my future will look like. Now, I’m facing another difficult chapter. I’m heading to Liverpool hospital for an indefinite period of stay, unsure of when or even how I will be able to move forward once I’m discharged. The truth is, I don’t know what my recovery will look like or what my future holds. That uncertainty is terrifying.

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that I am not alone. Through all of this, the love and support of those around me have been my strength. Travel and hotel costs will soon add up. I’m asking for financial help so my loved ones can stay close whilst I continue this journey to regaining my health.
