I really can’t find the words to share the pain that has happened in this family and community in the last 30 hours.

A precious, innocent, perfect, beautiful little light, Reign Tyler Blair, was taken from this world yesterday by his Biological Mother. What could have possibly happened in her mind and soul to take him, God help us.

I cannot and will absolutely not pretend to claim we have even a remote understanding of the reasoning behind this, or what occurred yesterday morning. We pray for answers that may never come, and when they do, no healing will come of it.

First, on behalf of Tyler, Reign, and every family member, friend, and loved one in our village, we would like to thank the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, and Officer Bullis for his honor, love, and their overall response. They had to make sense of what I pray to be the worst day of our lives, and we are forever grateful for your knowledge, presence, and strength.

Second, we ask that you hug, hold, and share how precious each of your loved ones are to you to the highest mountains and without reserve. Every minute in this world is a gift for which we need to take nothing for granted.

I’m not sure that any answers will ever come close to rectifying this.

I am asking with all of my heart for help for this wonderful Father, Tyler. The pain he carries is immeasurable, and no resolution can come that will ease it. Be it a prayer, an extra tight hug to your babies, or a simple moment to appreciate the ones around you, we so deeply need enough love and strength from our community to hold him up hour by hour.

Since childhood, he has been a gentle, steady, and amazing man for everyone who came into his life. He said his perfect gift, Reign, was his reward. Reign is his purpose, his love, and his life from the moment he took his first Breathe. There are no words for the kind of strength it takes for a man to be a single father, and the life he built for Reign is one we take solace in knowing was fulfilled with love, laughter, and precious joy.

The worst days are yet to come, and the last thing Reign’s loved ones need added to this nightmare is the weight of simply trying to survive day to day.

For those of us who were part of Reign’s everyday life — who shared our time, our homes, and our hearts with him — this loss is deeply personal and impossible to put into words. The quiet moments, the routines, the laughter we were blessed to be part of with him are now memories we will carry forever. The absence he leaves behind reaches far beyond what most can see.

We ask, with everything in us, that you continue to lift Tyler up in any way you can — through prayer, support, or simply standing beside him so he does not have to face this alone.

Hold your babies tighter tonight. Love without hesitation. This world needs that now more than ever.
