My name is Kirsten and I am the mother of a very special little boy, Koen. Koen was diagnosed with Autism last year. Since then, my little guy has worked so hard to make progress. Koen is considered non-verbal; he has a hard time with comprehension as well. Koen has been on a journey to grow in these areas and others. Koen needs lots of therapy and, you guessed it, it's super expensive. But in recent months, we have seen hope. Koen was prescribed Leucovorin, a form of folate. This has helped him so much. But this just shows that more can be done. I have been researching and working with a few experts on stem cell therapy. They believe this will help Koen on a whole new level. I've seen the numbers; it's working! It's amazing. But it is incredibly expensive. For the full treatment, it will be a little under $36k. This does not include travel, but I can make that happen. As a single mom, this seems an impossible number. But this is my baby and I am his only advocate. God has blessed us so much and I know I am asking for a lot.
