Finding Kevin Film

Donation protected
The dreamers outweigh the doers because pursuing something so great as your craziest fantasies can be overwhelming, and most people may be so terrified of knowing where to start, they never do. For filmmakers, the odds of becoming the next Kevin Smith may be slim, but far from impossible. There are so many components that go into filmmaking, such as dozens of script re-writes, casting, recruiting a crew, and let's not avoid the elephant in the room, budgeting. The greater the dream, the greater the cost. But for us, its greater the motivation. Here's a crazy dream, say one day a bunch of indie filmmakers in different cities of Florida decided to say, "fuck it, let's make a movie, and let's make it big." Well, that's my crazy dream, and our cinematographer's crazy dream, and our producer's crazy dream, and our director's crazy dream. We're ready to make that a crazy reality. Introducing, "Finding Kevin," an indie, flash-mob-style road trip focused on the state of independent film making as we enter the 2020's. The idea for "Finding Kevin" is to gather a bunch of crazy dreamers on an RV with iphones, gopros, camcorders, ipads, whatever records and spend a week traveling through dozens of cities, stopping to interview different indie filmmakers at film schools, studios, etc. The craziest part? It's all guerilla style. Of course our editor is probably crying right now. So many devices, so many videographers, but from so many perspectives. "Finding Kevin" is set to take place in August, sponsored by the indie film production company FILMAM Productions ("Fuck it, let's make a movie") the documentary will illustrate just what exactly it means to be "indie" and the joys and frustrations that root from being a "dreamer." We are asking for donations to send us on our way. We mainly need funding for the RV and production vehicle rentals which will cost about $3,000 per vehicle not including gas! The rest of the money will largely go towards food, post-production, hospitality, and other potential needs. If you know an indie filmmaker who deserves recognition, drop us a donation in their name. $50 and we'll name them as an "indie star in the city,"  $100 and over you and the indie filmmaker of your choice will receive a producer credit, over $300, a personalized shoutout to that filmmaker by our crew on our trip, $500 and over, 30 seconds of screen time for your filmmaker, and $1000 and over, that filmmaker can join us for a special interview to be featured in the film. And I know what you're thinking, yes that filmmaker can be yourself.
If you're ready to see someone you know become the next Kevin Smith, drop us a $50 donation, see your name in the credits, and sit back and say "fuck it, lets fund a movie."
