"When my mother died, I started on a search. I didn’t know what I was looking for. I just knew that I would know when I felt it. At that time, I was finding success beyond my wildest dreams, but I still lived under this dark shadow I just couldn’t figure out. I remembered back to the time years ago, I found myself in the back of an Indian market when I heard this small voice ask me if I wanted to try something. I could never imagine that that ensuing singular bite sent me on an adventure to the other side of the planet. I was searching for joy, for belonging - looking to others who speak the same language as me - the language of food. What I found changed my life forever. In finding India, I found myself."

Our ask:
We are New Sky Productions and we are leading the development of this inspiring story. Help us fund the production of an incredible story that helps break down walls of race, religion, language, and understanding of the Indian Culture through the eyes of a Chef who wasn't born into it.

We are producing a three-part series about Keith’s journey. Your support helps us with expenses related to production specifically.

Part One - New York City - James Beard Winner Chintan Pandya
If there’s anyone who knows Indian Food right now, it’s Chef Chintan. He has 4 restaurants in NYC. Let’s see how Chintan’s take on Indian food is different from mine. We’re only a couple of hundred miles apart, after all. I have prawns, he has prawns, I have lobster, he has lobster.

Part Two - Miami - Can we find India in Florida?
Miami is known for its incredible cultural influence but can we find India in a city like Miami? Our team heads to farms growing Indian produce, and meets with award-winning chefs from the diaspora.

Part Three - India - From Maine to Mumbai
Chef Keith arrives in India. Will he find the answers he is looking for? Learning dishes from remote villages to studying with chefs and food researchers all in hopes to answer the question, what is Indian food?
