Asher is 17 y.o. young man born with Muscular dystrophy. He's very intelligent, humble, kind, has a fantastic sense of humor and is popular amongst his peers. He has a take on life that inspires those around him, despite all the challenges he's faced over the years.

Asher is about to face his biggest challenge, and we need your help. After a devastating accident a year and a half ago, his disability progressed to being completely wheelchair-dependent, previously able to stand up to brush his teeth and do small tasks. The curvature in his spine has progressively worsened and reached a point where it's putting pressure on his lungs.

In late October 2022, Ash is scheduled to have a major spinal surgery through the public system to correct the curvature in his spine. After the surgery, Ash will have a long recovery and rehabilitation with 24/7 care.

I am here to raise funds to provide Asher with a golden retriever puppy as a companion and disability service dog. As we know, the love and affection of a doggo is like no other and will be a huge benefit for his mental and emotional well-being on the road to recovery. We will need to provide the puppy with training which can be extremely costly. Specialised training will allow them to create a bond and learn together throughout Asher's recovery.

His parents work very hard, round the clock, to support and provide for their family but can't do it all alone.
