Finding a new Joy

My name is Rose and as of the past 2-3 weeks my life has taken a completely different toll then I could have imagined.

About a week ago, I was in a major car accident that completely shattered my world. My car which I had been working a job to pay for, along with insurance and gas, was hit and destroyed. Insurance has dubbed it a total loss. Part of the reason this hit me so hard was because that car was something I was proud of and worked for.

My family isn't in a position to pay for a vehicle for me so I needed to take a loan out. My great grandma had paid for it and I was working day and night to paid her back every penny. So when that was taken from me all in one night I didn’t know how to react. I've worked for my mom and grandfather for several years to help with their business, I babysit, I ref, I tutor, I clean homes, I was working at a local pharmacy at a job I loved dearly and found out they needed to close, so I'm working to find a new job at another local pharmacy through some hiccups.

My “Joy” as I called her because incidentally, it was the first 3 letters of my license plate, took me, my siblings, friends, neighbors, parents, grandparents, and sometimes friends of friends everywhere and anywhere. She had a movie screen that my little siblings loved and heated seats that my mom loved to use when she rode as my passenger.

I was so proud of her I showed her to everybody, even though she “old” and not as cool as a fancy sports or new car, I loved her so much.

I was the only person in my car when the accident occurred and I was not injured except for some soreness which was expected. The reason I’m telling you this is because what I have received and saved is still not up to where I need to pay my great-grandma back and look for a new car. I'm working so hard to make this right, find a new job, continue paying my bills, continue volunteering, and keep all the bouncing balls bouncing so if I have ever driven you, yourself, your children, and or you knew Joy/me some other way, and you would like to help me, this is a GoFund me for my car.
