BUSTER, a recently rescued foster dog with Dogwood Rescue went missing in West Vancouver on Thursday November 26th.
As he was going into a car after his routine walk he bolted from the car to chase a skunk. He took off into the bush of the Northshore mountains and has been roaming them for the past weeks.
We have had a few sightings of BUSTER coming out to play with other dogs, but he is very cautious of people due to his life before beign rescued. He is part Doberman and part Hound so a scent can take him miles away.
Since then the rescue has headed a massive Lost Dog poster campaign, with all our volunteers walking trailed daily in the rain or shine in hopes to bring him home.
On December 14th a sighting of BUSTER was reported near where he was being fostered. We have called a professional petsearching service to help us bring him home.
He is cold, wet and starving and we need to help him.
As an all-volunteer run non profit organization we are raising funds to pay for the professional dog tracker; $500/day which includes the use of blood hounds, infrared cameras, daily surveillance, traps and a tracking plan designed specifically for Buster based on areas where sightings were reported.
All proceeds will go directly to finding BUSTER and you will be issued a tax receipt for your donation.
