Help Find Brian Gewirtz
Donation protected
On Tuesday, Feb 17th, 2015, Brian Gewirtz, a 20 year old man with special needs went missing from his home in Marine Park, Brooklyn. His wallet, which contained his ID, his metro card and his money, was found at home. His medication was also found at home. He had lost his phone the night before. He was last seen at 9AM that day.
Every day away from home is another day away from his medication, and another day without the special attention that he needs. The family has not given up hope, but needs support.
We need funding for a reward to offer to anyone with information that leads to Brian's safe return. This reward might make the difference between him being found and him remaining missing.
We also need funding in order to purchase supplies like fliers, tape, flashlights and batteries for the search, and food for volunteers. Currently we rely on donations of these supplies from local volunteers.
The funds donated by generous people like you will be split 26% towards supplies and 74% towards the reward. Of the donations after $13,500 is collected, %50 will go to the Marine Park JCC (for their generous flier donations), until a maximum of $800 is reached, and the rest of the donations will go to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, with no maximum amount. This will also be what is done with the reward funds in the event he is not found, G-d forbid.
