Hi, my name is Candace. My son and I recently became homeless , and we're currently living in a family shelter. My main goal is for us to find stability before the holidays start. A place for us to call our home, where we would be safe and comfortable, and I would be able to cook and my son would be able to get his proper nutrition. We are unable to cook or bring any outside food in the shelter we are currently staying at. We have no privacy or freedom here. Things are starting to get tough since most of my resources have diminshed. Everyday essentials like gas for my car, food, phone bill, storage fees and clothes for my son are just a few of the things we are struggling to afford right now. I want to clear my credit card balance and fix my credit so that we would be fast tracked into getting a nice apartment, instead of waiting for the government to help. All donations will go towards covering a few months rent in advance, an investment portfolio to ensure I never end up in this situation again, and to provide proper childcare for my son when I have to work.
