Find Our 4yo Canadian Nephew Missing in Mexico
Donation protected
Deep breaths. Deep fears. Our hearts are heavy with worry and sorrow as we reach out to you in our desperate hour of need. Our beloved nephew, affectionately called Mini, hasn't been seen by his father since August 2, 2023. His father, my brother, hasn't received any news since August 21, 2023. Both of them are Canadian and reside in the Riviera-Maya region.
The child's, has fled with our precious Mini. We believe they might be in the northern part of Mexico. While the authorities have been informed, my brother faces mounting legal fees. Heartbreakingly, the Canadian embassy hasn't offered any assistance.
Time is ticking away, and the urgency is unbearable. Mini was supposed to return to school on August 28th, to rejoin the friends he left behind in June. He cherished his school, adored his teacher, and missed the playground chats with his close buddies. We ache thinking of how he's been pulled away from his comforting routines, his dear friends, and most painfully, his father. My Brother and his son are more than just father and son; they're the best of friends. It's a moment in an unfamiliar environment, stripped of his life's landmarks, jeopardizing his mental and physical well-being. It's heart-wrenching to imagine him questioning every day why his dad isn't there.
Your generous donations will go primarily towards the rising attorney fees. Despite this being a child's disappearance, legal representation is vital for search efforts in Mexico. Once the mother and Mini are located, further costs loom: ensuring Mini's safe recovery, and doing everything possible to restore the life and security that he has lost.
Time isn't just pressing; it's agonizing. We plead from the very depths of our souls: help us reunite Mini with his father, with safety, and with the love he so desperately needs.
