I wanted to be so much. I had aspirations of becoming an Olympic Gymnast; these desires transferred into a hunger for being the best powerlifter I could fathom gracing this earth. In November of 2024 my life changed, I considered different wordings for what happened on that foggy fall day; but truthfully my life wasn’t ruined in the way that I originally framed it. However, everything I had known suddenly was greatly altered. Once a healthy kid I started having seizures. To describe the grief of losing a life I was never meant to have is Impossible. I spent days wondering “why me?” But the truth is why anybody. I went through many neurologists and specialists and was eventually diagnosed with epilepsy. However, as I sit here writing in a hospital bed there are still many questions unanswered about my brain and the damage that it has endured. I spend days grieving the independence that I once carried. So now I take a bold step. I am asking for help. At this moment I can hardly go or be anywhere alone. This has shifted my quality of life in quite a negative direction. This is where a service dog comes in. Seizure alert dogs are life saving animals that help people battling epilepsy live independent and happy lives. I would do anything to not lose the small bits of normalcy I still have. So please consider donating. Not just for m e right now but for the future of me and all the change I want to make for people in my same position.
