Find Marshal Iwaasa

Please help support the Iwaasa family in their search for Marshal. Please see the description below  for details on the case.

As a community we must band together to assist this family in their efforts to locate Marshal.

The funds raised will be used for the following:
- Hiring a private investigator to assist in locating footage and other relevant clues for location Marshal. This will be the most significant cost the family will have.
-Travel/gas/accommodations; as you May or may not know, Marshal’s sister does not live in Canada. She is now in Canada to help look for her brother with her family.
-Conducting further searches for Marshal, Including drone searches/purchase of drones. The police have exhausted their resources for search and rescue so now the family is financially responsible for further searches conducted.
- Advertising/posters/billboards: as mentioned on their Facebook page,  along with digital and traditional postering efforts some families might also create magnetic posters (for vehicles); make use of traditional and digital billboards; or place ads in traditional print papers and social media. Sometimes families can get reduced or donated goods for at least a limited time. When they cannot, the costs can quickly rise into the thousands of dollars.
-Candlelit Vigils and other public awareness events; each of these events have costs associated with the event.

In the event there are remaining funds, the family will be donating them to an organization of their choice.

LPS continues investigation into missing Calgary man

From LPS:

The Lethbridge Police Service has assumed carriage of the investigation into a 26-year-old Calgary man who has been missing since mid-November.

Marshal Iwaasa was last seen by family in Lethbridge on Nov. 17, 2019. Iwaasa told family he was returning to Calgary, however he has not been seen or heard from since.

On Nov. 25, 2019 a burned-out vehicle was located in the B.C. backcountry by Pemberton RCMP who confirmed it belonged to Iwaasa. Family were notified of the recovery of the vehicle and subsequently reported Iwaasa missing.

RCMP initiated a search of the area but efforts were suspended last week due to extremely poor weather conditions.

Iwaasa is described as 5’11” tall, approximately 170 lbs. with brown eyes, shoulder-length brown hair, usually worn tied back, and a mustache. When last seen, he was wearing a green hoodie, grey toque, red hi-top shoes and black pants. His truck is described as a dark blue 2009 GMC Sierra, bearing Alberta license plate BLL-1099.

Anyone with information on Iwaasa’s disappearance, or his movements at any time after Nov. 17, are asked to call Lethbridge Police at 403-328-4444. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.p3tips.com
