Hi, my name is Brittany and I have started this GoFundMe as my way of helping out my friends Shannon and Allen to assist in finding their daughter who is missing.

Alena Mitchem, aka Gracie is 15 years old and has been missing from the San Diego area for over 48 hours. Local law enforcement have been no help whatsoever, and her parents have had to reach out to various human trafficking groups to get assistance in finding Gracie.

With the help of a local organization, created to serve missing and exploited individuals and their families regardless of their circumstances. The family has also reached out to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children to aide in bringing Gracie home.

The organization has worked with Gracie's high school laptop, and the family knows that she communicates with other people on a PlayStation gaming platform.

It appears Gracie was also instructed to take her electronic devices, social security card, and birth certificate before leaving.

Her phone has never been turned on since she went missing.

The organization is still working on gaining access to Gracie's social media accounts, and I have contacted 5 Private Investigating firms to get quotes on their services.

Gracie is 5'4, 155 lbs., with hair faded from green dye and hazel-green eyes. (The photo in the hat is the last current photo). The family lives 20 minutes from the border of Mexico, in a high-risk human trafficking area. If you see Gracie, DO NOT APPROACH HER, call 911 IMMEDIATELY and KEEP EYES ON HER. Shannon and Allen moved from West Virginia back to Shannon's hometown in California in June 2016. Gracie has started a new high school and was very excited to be getting her learner's permit. There were no problems in the home. Gracie absolutely would not have left unless she had been coerced into trusting someone. The family has checked at all the youth shelters and hospitals in the San Diego area, to no avail. They are also checking with the pawn shops to see if her electronics have been brought in.

Her family is devastated. Shannon is a pediatric medical assistant and both Shannon and Allen are well-loved members of the roller derby community.

Please help bring Gracie home to her family.
