Driving to an appointment you never think your life will change but when I saw a little pup laying in the middle of an offramp and hear squealing I knew it would. This little one was laying on his side helpless while car after car drove around him. I scooped him up and he instantly stopped squealing. I put him in a blanket in my car and rushed him to the hospital. He was bleeding from his mouth and I was convinced he would die on our 10 minute drive there. On the way I call my wife to let her know and confirm that we could try to pay for some of the vet bills I knew he would have. Thank goodness we both love dogs. The vet did x-rays and found two “remarkably broken” front legs and a broken jaw. He was thankfully okay beyond that and some minor bruising. They handed me the estimate for splinting his legs and his pain management and it for sure added up. And this is just the beginning. He will need extensive surgery on his front legs and lots of teeth work to take out the teeth that got knocked loose. We did not expect to have a third dog, we did not expect these vet bills but we refuse to let this little boy suffer and we know if we took him to a shelter they would put him down. We do not know where his owner is and the chip he had led nowhere. We will be doing what we can to find his owner or find him a home that will best suit him, but for now, he’s our new baby and we want to make sure he heals and is not in pain. If you can help us take care of this baby we would really appreciate it, this is the first bill, we will likely have more, but we will do what need to be done and I will keep everyone updated on our pup’s instagram pupswith2moms.
Thank you!!!
