FIND AMELIA - MISSING FROM WATTS CALIFORNIA

Our 30 year old daughter Amelia, has a long history of mental illness as well as PTSD and recently dementia. Tragically a continuum of bad things happened to her and those she loves. From the time she was 17 years old, her best friend was violently murdered. She has continued to struggle to find her way and some ability to cope. She has 3 precious children whom my husband and I have been raising for almost 10 years. Amelia loves them and although she tries, has been unable to stabilize. We have sought help but as many know the mental health system is broken and no real help is available. The pandemic has made it worse with all the focus understandably with COVID being first priority.

 

This past year has been the most turbulent ever. Amelia became so confused that she did not recognize herself, her children or even that I was her mom. She had what I am told was a psychotic break.

 

While Amelia was getting help for her mental health in the Watts / Lynnwood area, she disappeared. No one has heard from her and we were informed she has no phone, no money, and not even a jacket. The facility she was attending has filed a missing person report, but we have heard nothing, and they refuse to help.

 

Various ministries and other non profits have been alerted but it is like she JUST VANISHED.

We are raising money to hire a private investigator and offer a reward for her safe return.

Our hope it is enough, NOT TOO LITTLE TOO LATE.

 

We know people are just spent..

But we would be so VERY Grateful for any help you can give.  

She's our daughter, an author, a survivor and most importantly a mother who always calls her children. Please continue to pray for her safe return.
