Lewis and Ryan will be taking part in Tough mudder September 2026 in hopes of raising money for Asthma + Lung Uk.

Asthma and conditions with the lung has affected all of us in many ways.

This is Luna-Freya’s story.

Luna-Freya was born in 2022 at just 34 weeks old. Being premature comes with many risks, one of which being lung development. Luna unfortunately started her journey here; she required a special stay at the NICU, was placed on a high flow nasal cannula and required a special steroid spray down into the lung. After two long weeks she was able to come home.

At 4 & 9 Months old Luna developed RSV Bronchiolitis and her second exposure required her to be Intubated and sent to Evalina Hospital PICU. Luna’s right lung had collapsed and after two weeks we were able to return home but unfortunately Luna’s battle didn’t stop here.

repetitively Luna was sent into hospital with respiratory needs and after years of medications, antibiotics and stays we finally received a diagnosis.

Luna-Freya was diagnosed with Child-hood asthma, a persistent RUL (Right upper lung) segmental atelectasis and tracheobronchomalacia.

Segmental Atelectasis is a partial lung collapse.

Tracheobronchomalacia is a rare lung condition in which the windpipe, trachea and broncho to collapse and remain floppy/likely to collapse again.

Luna-Freya’s journey like so many others isn’t finished. While there isn’t a cure yet that doesn’t mean we can’t try to get one.
