Nyahs recovery road

Hey y’all, Kelli and Nyah papaya girl here!
As some of you may know, Ny had her first seizure back in September and it has progressively become more frequent since. The diagnosis was initially epilepsy, but the symptoms are now evolving into something more widespread than just seizures. She’s now having neuro episodes that last upwards of 30 minutes. We’ve now found ourselves in uncharted territory—one that goes in the direction of finding a neurologist who can open Pandora’s box into the brain of my sweet, sweet papaya girl and find the root cause of what’s going on. We will need brain scans, a spinal tap, and extensive testing to find out just what is causing her brain to do what it’s doing.
We do not have a neurologist here in town, so we will be committing to whoever can get us in soonest, which means we may end up in Jacksonville or we may be driving as far as Tampa. The going rate for the road we’re about to head down starts at $3,000 and could be upwards of $7,000-$10,000 depending on what the diagnosis is.
I’m not sure what our future holds, but I know this sweet love bug of mine is far too young and kind to not be given the best chance at life, which is why I’m asking for any support you can give in the weeks to come. We’re tough, resilient, and independent, and as much as I want to do what I always do and say I got this, I know deep down we have a lot of people who love this girl of mine and would love to help us climb this mountain so we’re not doing it alone.
The weight of the world doesn’t always have to be on our shoulders and our shoulders alone, and I’m being called to remember that right now. I can show up for her as a stronger, calmer protector if my nervous system isn’t in overdrive.
So if you feel called to help us in this journey, we would be endlessly grateful for any support. Every little bit counts here as we embark on finding an underlying cause and cure for the goodest girl who ever lived.
