We are starting this fundraiser for our beautiful, Aunt Phyllis. Phyllis Wood is a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was recently diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer and it has spread to her bones, lymph nodes and throat. She has courageously been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation. She just rang the bell yesterday from her 10th round of radiation. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover all of her expenses.

Phyllis struggled her entire life to support and raise her children on her own. Sadly, her two previous husbands passed away. Although there were challenges, Phyllis always remained to be positive and uplifting. She worked hard to give her children the best life that she could. She always manages to bring a smile to everyone's face.

Through combined efforts, our family has done all they can to help support her and her needs have gone beyond their resources. Phyllis recently turned 68 years old and has a lot of life left in her. Energetic, courageous, spirited, loving, generous, selfless, caring and thoughtful are just some of her qualities. She has always put others first and has been extremely independent. Collectively through the financial assistance of her social security and savings, her funds will not be sufficient to cover all of her expenses. There have been many success stories on Go Fund Me and with their sponsorship and much appreciated donations, there is hope that Phyllis will be able to receive the care that she needs.
