I originally wasn't going to do this, but a close friend of mine highly suggested this:

I was unexpectedly let go from my job on August 17th. Currently, I'm probably on track to run out of funds in a couple of months with what I currently have. I'm preemptively setting up this GoFundMe to hopefully have some emergency support.

I've been submitting applications almost every day to look for work, but I haven't gotten any positive responses so far. This is the first time that my job search has gone longer than a month.

I'm planning on using the money raised here to extend my survival while I'm searching for jobs. Things I need money for include rent, food, and other basic necessities.
