My mom, Anna Shoaf or "Jackie" as most people knew her, passed away on December 17th, 2023, from complications 9 days after her heart surgery.

Her passing was sudden, leaving me and everyone who she loved and loved her in shock. We are all still heartbroken as we make plans for my mom's memorial as well as take over her caregiver and financial responsibilities.

Jackie lived with and supported her son who was caregiving and 14-year-old granddaughter. With her passing being so sudden, it left her granddaughter and son unprepared to take on the responsibilities and household expenses on their own.

My husband and I are looking to our loved ones and community for financial support as we take on the rent, bills, and any other household expenses for the next 3 months while my mom's son and granddaughter work and save enough to the cover the expenses themselves.

We, of course, have our own rent, bills, and expenses to pay, leaving us with little to put toward a second household.
