Financial Support for the Salcedo Family
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Taiylor Sakurada-Campbell and we created this GoFundMe on behalf of our sister Ashlee Salcedo and her two perfect boys Rowen (9) and Enzo (2). As some of you know, Ashlee's wife Jessie Salcedo has been battling Leiomyosarcoma as well as other forms of cancer for the last eight years. Jessie has gone through years of chemotherapy, surgeries, drug trial experiences, and much more throughout the years. She has truly been such a warrior, all while never once complaining or asking for much. In December, Jessie was experiencing a number of health issues causing her to be hospitalized at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA. There she spent over 20 days fighting for her health so she can spend her holidays with her beautiful family. She made many friends at Stanford while she was there, and never failed to crack some jokes to her favorite nurses. She truly made the best of every situation. As her medical conditions worsened, Jessie and Ashlee had a difficult conversation with Jessie's Oncologist, where they were told there was nothing more that could be done. Jessie was put on hospice on December 23rd, 2021. Jessie's biggest wish was to be home with her family in Southern California and to pass in the room that she grew up in with all of her closest family surrounding her. Jessie was able to spend Christmas, her last birthday, and New Years with her family. Sadly, on January 6th, 2022 Jessie Salcedo passed away in her childhood home with her family and wife by her side.
Jessie leaves behind her wife, Ashlee Salcedo, and their two beautiful boys. Ashlee is in Southern California with Jessie's family making all the funeral arrangements and plans. Ashlee has not been to their home since December and will come back to a whole new life without her beautiful wife. Ashlee and the boys have an unimaginable road ahead of them. Ashlee is currently out on leave from her job, dealing with the most heartbreaking loss, and all while raising her two sons. Ashlee never asks for help and as her sister, I know that she will need all the support and love that she can get. Financials should not be something she needs to worry about right now, which is why we (me and my sister Jenna Canatsy) decided to create this. If you find it in your heart to help this family get on their feet in this devastating time, please consider donating. We know times are tough right now, so truly anything helps. If you can't donate, please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate through this challenging time.
Thank you all so much. We love you endlessly Jessie Salcedo. Rest in Peace.
