Whitney aka Thor's Slammer has recently had a sudden change that requires she set her skates aside and join injury reserve.

"No skates for me. Lots of blood clots in my lungs (also known as pulmonary embolism) and I have to take it very easy for a while so they don't move."

Slammer is hoping to be good and back to normal in six months (three if I'm a wizard).

With reduced work hours and no remaining sick days, Slammer is in need of financial support to care for herself and her family as well as to bring and maintain more stability tot her two teenagers and pets lives.

For those of you who know Slammer, they are a big giver of laughter, love and showing up in so many ways for others. Sometimes it can feel so hard to ask for support when you are used to being a giver and surrender to receiving when you are in great need.

Now is the time for us to show up for Slammer, validate her bravery, vulnerability and remind her how much she is not alone in this chapter of her journey.
