It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend Reynaldo, who recently underwent treatment for a brain aneurysm. Despite every effort and care, Reyad sadly passed away.

In his final moments, Reyad was comforted by the presence of loved ones. Though his journey ended far from home, we are determined to fulfill his and his family’s wish—to bring him back to the Philippines, so he may rest in peace among those who loved him most.

This fundraiser has been created to help cover the costs of sending Reyad’s body home to his family, and to support funeral and memorial expenses. Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward helping his family through this incredibly painful time.

We are reaching out to ask for help on behalf of Reyad, a hardworking and humble man who is now facing the most difficult challenge of his life.

Reyad, a temporary foreign worker in Canada, recently suffered a sudden and life threatening brain aneurysm. He is currently still in the hospital undergoing treatment, and his condition remains serious. While his medical team is doing everything they can, Reyad faces a long road to recovery ahead.

Reyad came to Canada with hope to work hard and support his family back home. Now, unable to work and far from home, he is burdened with significant medical costs and uncertainty.

In this incredibly difficult time, there has been one hopeful piece of news: Reyad’s wife has just been approved to come to Canada to care for him. Her presence will be critical to his healing- not just physically but emotionally. However, her travel, stay and basic needs will also add to their growing financial burden.
