Dear friends and compassionate souls,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart and an urgent plea for assistance for my Mom, Beth Weinstein, Just over a month ago, she underwent what was supposed to be a routine gallbladder surgery.
Unfortunately, the procedure took a devastating turn, leading to severe complications that have left her fighting for her life. My mother endured multiple procedures and an additional surgery to repair the damage to her bile duct caused by the initial operation. Tragically, she contracted sepsis during her recovery, further setting her back in the healing process and extending her arduous journey of hospital visits and medical trauma.
For nearly a month, she has been bravely battling in the hospital, stuck on a liquid diet and full of a variety of tubes.
Thankfully, after weeks of uncertainty, my Mom has been cleared to come home. However, her journey to recovery is far from over. She will require daily IV antibiotic infusions through a pic line for a month and ongoing care from a nurse twice a week to monitor her condition and ensure her well-being.
As if the physical and emotional toll were not enough, my mother, a self-employed individual, has been unable to work throughout this ordeal, my Dad having to take on main financial responsibility on top of taking care of my younger brother and my Mom. With mounting medical bills and the financial strain of being unable to earn an income, our family faces an overwhelming burden that threatens to overshadow her path to healing. This is why I humbly ask for your support. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in alleviating the financial burden weighing heavily on my parents shoulders.
