Hi All
I am reaching out to seek your support for my brother's legal defense. He was recently arrested and is facing a potential 10-year prison sentence.
My brother has been transparent about his past, using his experiences to educate others positively. Recently, he has been involved in politics, exposing the abuse of power by the Everett City Mayor and his staff.
The charges against him are absurd and politically motivated.
He is charged with two counts of Witness Intimidation for sharing a satirical cartoon on Facebook

The arrest occurred on December 8, 2023, for a post made in June 2023. We believe this is an abuse of power orchestrated by Mayor Carlos Demaria and his Legal Staff.
The arrest itself, which took place on MBTA property, demonstrates the extent of Carlos's abuse of power.
We're seeking financial support for three crucial legal battles:
Appeal the indictment in a neutral court.
Obtain Attorney Support & attendance for the Court Ordered Subpoena in the civil suit against the Everett Leader Newspaper. ( aka the other Everett Newspaper)
Lastly, he will be filing his own civil against the City to expose the abuse of power and address a wide range of issues experienced by him and other members of our family.
The arrest has already cost my brother 70 days of unpaid leave, which is losing his job unless he wins his appeal.

Our family, lifelong residents of Everett, has witnessed the shift in Carlos's priorities from serving the public to serving himself.
