Financial relief for Bob and Willa Sisson
Donation protected
On April 19th at about 1:30pm, Candie (Bob's oldest daughter) and Willa were at Bob and Willa's home. Willa asked Bob where the keys to the car were and Bob looked at her blankly. Willa asked him again if he knew where the keys were but he just stared at her blankly and then his head fell limp. Willa and Candie were able to get him onto the ground and call and ambulance and Bob was transported by ambulance to the hospital in Sterling, IL.
While in transport to the hospital, and while present at the hospital with Doctors and Nurses, it became apparent that Bob was having a stroke. While they were lucky to recognize the symptoms almost immediately, the impact of the stroke was seeming significant as there has yet to be any verbal communication from Bob nor has there been any movement on the right side of his body.
At approximately 4:15pm Bob was transported by helicopter to Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital, a well respected hospital for the treatment and care after a stroke. Bob was admitted to this hospital in the ICU and they have been monitoring him closely. Since he has been admitted to DuPage, we have learned that the stroke that he had was "massive" and they are worried about brain swelling symptoms that he currently has. While they have witnessed movement on the left side of his body, so far there is still no movement on the right side at all. Additionally, he was placed on a ventilator as it is believed this will help his body get the oxygen that it needs and help provide his body the best chance for recovery.
Willa, Candie, and Kellie (daughter of Bob and Willa) are on their way to the hospital on the morning of April 20th. Visiting restrictions are significant and hours are limited but family is trying to be as close to the hospital as possible in case Bob's status changes at all.
We will provide as many updates as we can about how Bob is doing as we know there are so many family members, and Eagles family members, that care deeply about his well-being. This page is designed so that family don't have to keep remembering all of the details and relaying information. Thank you all for caring about Grandpa and we will know more soon.

Due to being in Chicago, Willa, Candie and Kellie are all staying at a hotel to be close to Grandpa in case anything changes.
We are asking for any help for travel expenses and helping pay for the hotel room do they can be near him as well as any financial relief for Grandma and Grandpa.
Anything is everything and very appreciated!
