Financial Recovery from a Scam Job Offer
Donation protected
Due to my wife’s progressive dementia, I must work out of my office at home. At first, I did a short-term contract working from my home office. When that came to an end, I tried looking for customer service consulting-type work that was fully remote but there were almost none that fit my background. I burned through most of our financial resources and became desperate for work. After a few months, I de-skilled my search for Data Entry/Admin work that did not pay that much, but at least kept us financially afloat.
I received an employment offer from a large outsourcing company. After researching it and the recruiter on the Web and LinkedIn I decided to take the job. I had to buy equipment and software from an approved vendor using funds provided by my new employer. Now, a week later it appears that the job was a hoax. Not only that but the corporate checks they provided have been returned as fictitious.
So, I am now more than $3,500 in the red with no way to make my car payments, rent, utilities, and groceries.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could make a contribution to help us financially. And, if you know of any work that I can do from home please let me know.
Sincerely and gratefully,
