UPDATE 3/3/2026:

Whether you've provided monetary, volunteered your time, given a shoulder, lended an ear, spread the word of need, prayed or asked for blessings, your support is immensely appreciated.

Dad has slowed down since December and is no longer seeking treatments that are not a holistic approach. We are focusing on quality of life verses quanity, at this time. Each day cam be variable with symptom management. The second attempt at chemotherapy hasn't been as successful as we initally thought. His bleeding has subsided and he has recovered from the 3rd stent.

Folks have ask how they can help. Here's some thoughts:

call, text, send messages with uplifting memories, send a letter through the mail, share scripture, sending comfort items and thoughtful packages, visiting if you can (please call ahead).

Any money collected from GoFundMe will help with the following:

Comfort measures-all the items that provide comfort and improve quality of life.

Travel and Lodging-Dad has 2 trips he's holding onto hope in making those--meeting his great grandson in ME and his granddaughter's wedding.

Unpaid medical expenses (one chemo treatment was almost $500; chemo treatments were done for at least one year)

Expenses that will occur upon the end of my Dads life

Loss of income due to Mumzy needing to take time away from work

UPDATE 7/20/25:

This post was initally approved by Dawn and Michael Caron. Im sure everyone can understand the emotional challenges at this time. I ask that you pray, whether you agree or disagree with this fund. Much love, gratitude and prayers for blessings to you all.

I will keep this up for Mumzy-Dawn Caron. And Dad has been having trouble accepting the collection; however, is ever so greatful for the out reach from folks. Dad would be willing to allow the collection to help with connection to fund travel expenses to friends and family.

That idea is undecided at this time (burial collection will continue) and we will update if that change is made in the future. Funds will remain for burial costs.

I recently learned of fees associated and anyone can request an address or different form of payment to donote to the cause, if desired, myself, Mumzy, and many others have the contact information and available options for accepting donations.

Hi Cristie posted this asking for help and Michael wanted her to take down. He is stage 4 pancreatic cancer and very weak. He wants 2 be buried not cremated. Any help will be appreciated 2 get it arranged. Very expensive!

Our family thanks you for taking time to read this. My name is Cristie Hodsdon (Caron), my father, Michael Caron, has been battling pancreatic cancer since September 2024. That's right...a year with pancreatic cancer! God has blessed us with almost a year with my father. We are so immensely thankful for this time.

My Mumzy, Dawn Caron, and her beloved husband, have rocked this battle like Champions! They have prayed and thanked God for this blessing of time.

Because my Dad has been so ill, financially things have been a struggle to afford the final costs. Our family is ever thankful for the Lord and the American Legion for offering my Dad and Mumzy their final resting places (side by side) at no cost!

Mumzy and Dad both feel blessed to have had known so many great people over the years; from Maine to Florida, Ohio and on through the US, my Dad and Mumzy have lovely memories to cherish together, until God calls them home.

We are thankful and immensely appreciate all of the prayers and support that so many people have given to us.

At this time, we anticipate the final costs to be about $9,000. Unfortunately, my Dad does not have life insurance; however, he is blessed with health insurance to cover most of the current medical costs.

We hope that God continues to bless your lives as he has ours.
