It was peaceful, it was devastating, it was heartbreaking, it was death. My father took his last breath at 2:17 in the afternoon of April 21st, 2017. He was surrounded by his entire family. He was surrounded by love.
We had pulled his hospital bed out into the middle of the living room and we gathered around him. We all put our hands on him. His breath was heavier but there was a certain type of peace that filled the room. We all spoke to God, to something greater, but mostly we spoke to my father. We spoke of sadness, of healing, of letting go. We spoke from our beating hearts. We asked for our father to breath in all of the love that you guys have shown him and my family. We asked him to breath in the love his family has for him. We asked our father to let that love surround him, fill the room and his soul. We told him it was ok to let go; to breath out all of his love into the world for us to feel forever in the air. His love was always the most powerful type of love. His love is my love. My love is your love. He told me to tell you, "I love you."
My father is in a better place now. He is in a place where there is no pain, no sadness, no grief, no hurt, no sickness. My father was such a godly man and now he is with our heavenly father looking down on his family and friends, watching over us and breathing life into us forever.
Cancer took away my sweet, loving, gentle father but it will never take away the memories of my father. The legacy of my father. My family holds his legacy. We all hold his legacy. He was a kind, gentle, selfless man full of love. We ask that you let that love inspire you tp live a life full of kindness and selflessness to others in honor of our sweet father/husband/friend. We love you Randall James Brown. We love you daddy, always and forever you are a part of our lives.
With so much love and heartache,
The Brown Family

Several of you have reached out to ask how you can help or be there for our family. It has been hard to respond to the overwhelming amounts of love we have received in this difficult time but know that we truly cherish every word from you and receive it with so much love. Know that your love and friendship mean the most to us in these times, and that the only thing we really need is you. We also understand that some of you want to DO things for us and help, and that giving, and acts of kindness help the healing process for many. Nobody needs to do anything for us other than love on us but if you are moved to contribute, here is a list of things that might help my family in this time:
•PLANTS- living plants like succulents and palms. Anyone that knows my dad or any of his children, know that we have quite a green thumb and love for taking care of plants. Bring a plant to the memorial and we will love on that plant and think of my dad as we take care of it in life. Or send/drop off a plant/flower/small tree to 6701 Pendell Dr. Oklahoma City, ok 73116
•GIFT CARDS- massages/groceries/house cleaning- any gift card that could be useful in a stressful time.
•GOFUNDME/FUNERAL COST- funerals and medical bills are an outrageous cost. If you would like to contribute financially, write a check to Debbie Brown or go to this link https://www.gofundme.com/financial-medical-support
