Many of you know Pixie Bradshaw and have witnessed the compassion and dedication she shows while caring for the animals at our county shelter. She works tirelessly to comfort animals who arrive scared and abandoned. The job is physically and emotionally demanding for this tiny lady, yet she gives it her all.

After working with obvious pain for months, Pixie recently underwent hip replacement surgery and will not be paid for the next two months while she recovers. She supplements her part-time income by cleaning houses, but that income source will also end. Pixie lives alone with her cat and adopted dog, Susie. Pixie's work ethic and dedication to the shelter animals is evident to all who see her on the job. Now it's our turn to support her.
