Help with Noah's liver transplant

Donation protected

Hello! My name is Noah Crossman. I'm 21 years old and I'm in need of a liver transplant. Unfortunately without the transplant, I wont be able to see my sister grow up, own my first home, marry the love of my life, have children & watch my children grow. A long list of things most individuals would like to achieve.

The Story :

I became very sick in the early stages of 2012 & my family and I could not figure out why. Moving ahead to July 2012 after various testing & I was diagnosed with Auto Immune Hepatitis ( AIH ) and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis ( PSC ). These are both progressive & chronic diseases of the liver. Once I was diagnosed, I already had cirrhosis of my liver and it was now all about managing my disease to buy me the most time possible until a transplant was required.

Fast forward to today and I am now in need of a transplant. Without a transplant, my liver will fail and I will pass away. My amazing mother has stepped up and is willing to be my living donor if all goes well. Words cannot thank that woman. I am currently undergoing a plethora of testing including Pulmonary testing, Cardiology testing, PET Scans, Mental health & addictions, MRI's, you name it. I would like everyone to try & understand that this is a lengthy and very complex process.

Costs:

A liver transplant is not an easy financial cost to cover. Although here in Canada the cost of the operation itself is covered, nothing else is paid for. Things like loss of income, getting to and from appointments & tests, accommodation, food. The list goes on. Post operation I will be admitted to the ICU for a few days and then transferred to a step-down transplant unit. Once discharged from the hospital, I will need to stay close to the transplant center for at least several weeks in order to undergo testing and monitor my new liver. The first year or so after a transplant is a recovery stage & I will be on anti-rejection medications for the rest of my life. I currently live in Alberta on my own with my immediate family residing in Nova Scotia. As you can presume, there will be costs associated with travelling also.

Thank You:

I understand that it has been a rough two years financially for majority of individuals, including myself, because of Covid-19 which only makes this a bigger obstacle to hurdle. There is an immense amount of stress associated with an operation of this sort & money only makes it worse. Any donation, big or small is very much appreciated & words cannot explain my gratitude. Please do not feel like you must donate in order to help. If you aren't able to support in a financial aspect, I ask for your prayers, positive energy & please share this post. Thank you so much everyone. Live everyday like it's your last. <3
