My step-dad Ernesto was diagnosed with COVID-19 on October 31st, and with it, my entire family was infected. On November 4th, he was sent to the hospital and has since then been deteriorating in his oxygen levels. This GoFundMe is to help him, the seemingly worst out of the family, as he has no insurance but needs medical support right now. We have no true estimate as to how much is needed, but $5,000 seems to be like an understood amount knowing how high medical service is here in the U.S. Any and all money will go towards all expenses for his health, like oxygen that he is needing in order to maintain stable levels of breathing, and whatever medicines the doctors may recommend whether they keep him inside of the hospital or send him back home on oxygen.
I would also like to take a moment to explain the further situation at home and preface that anyone is free to contact me with their support or questions. At the moment, due to their health, neither my step-father nor mother is making money, as they tend to work with people and clients of their business and would certainly not want to risk anyone else's health (as well as them trying to heal and recover from this virus). My mother cares for my sister and brother without the help of my step-father for now, and luckily my siblings seem to be doing better off than my parents and have healed for the most part (crossed-fingers). All the money will be going towards the medical fees, but any extra money that might be fundraised will help relieve my mom during this time of what is practically unemployment with things like ordering food to the house, rent, and so forth. Any amount of money that you can spare is appreciated, and if you can't donate then please share this fundraiser with others within your circle. I appreciate you all for the support.

A mi padrastro Ernesto le diagnosticaron con COVID-19 el 31 de octubre y, con él, toda mi familia se infectó. El 4 de noviembre el fue enviado al hospital y desde entonces se ha ido deteriorando en sus niveles de oxígeno. Este GoFundMe es para ayudarlo, ya que no tiene seguro, pero necesita apoyo médico en este momento. No tenemos una estimación real de cuánto se necesita, pero $ 5,000 parece ser una cantidad entendida sabiendo qué tan alto es el servicio médico aquí en los EE. UU. Todo el dinero se destinará para su cuidado ya que para salir del hospital ocupa oxigeno y medicinas que no seran cubiertas por el hospital.
También me gustaría tomarme un momento para explicar la situación adicional en casa y les digo que antemano que cualquiera puede contactarme con su apoyo o preguntas. En este momento, debido a su salud, ni mi padrastro ni mi madre están ganando dinero, ya que tienden a trabajar con personas y clientes de su negocio y ciertamente no querrían arriesgar la salud de nadie más (y recuperarse de este virus). Mi madre cuida por mi hermana y mi hermano sin la ayuda de mi padrastro por ahora, y afortunadamente, mis hermanos parecen estar mejor que mis padres y se han curado en su mayor parte (dedos cruzados). Todo el dinero se destinará a los gastos médicos, pero cualquier dinero extra que pueda recaudarse ayudará a aliviar a mi madre durante este tiempo de lo que prácticamente es el desempleo, con cosas como pedir comida para la casa, la renta, etc. Se agradece cualquier cantidad de dinero que puedan donar, y si no puede donar, por favor comparta esta recaudación de fondos con otras personas dentro de su círculo.
