Financial help for Corey's medical care

Hi everyone, my name is Shelby and I am Corey's sister. With his consent, I am asking family and friends to consider helping with Corey's upcoming financial needs. Here's the story:

On July 30, 2022, Corey and his 4-year-old son went to a birthday celebration at a friend's property. Our family was told that his son began traveling down a dirt hill at a high rate of speed on a dirt bike. Corey attempted to catch up from behind to slow his son down. While reaching for his son, Corey's handlebars shifted, and he was thrown over them, hitting his head.

His friends ran to his aid and tried to assess his injuries as they waited for an ambulance in this rural area. Corey gained consciousness within about 5 minutes. He was taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to Modesto, CA to be treated in a facility that could better address his injuries.

He has so far been diagnosed with a skull fracture, blood clot and bleeding in his brain. He has physical abrasions and obviously, major pain in and trauma to his body.

Corey does have medical insurance, but there will be out-of-pocket expenses for the ambulance, the cost of life flight, and whatever costs are not covered by his insurance. At this time, we are uncertain when he will be medically cleared to return to work and if there will be any long-term effects that he will have to be vigilant about.

Corey is a fantastic father, loving son, goofy brother and loyal friend. I hope that you can help him in his time of need. Any support is greatly appreciated, whether financial, emotional, or prayerful.

Any monies received will be held in a separate account set aside for medical bills and costs related to Corey's care and rehabilitation.
