Financial help for Chris Collier
Thursday Chris went into surgery to remove a mass or tumor from his spine and they removed the tumor and then something went wrong. We don’t have the answers to what went wrong yet but hopefully we will know soon. What we do know is he was left paralyzed from the chest down. Chris is the father of two little girl’s,, Lily age 2 and Maddi age 10 month’s old. Maddi is a special needs baby with constant care from nurses and specialist from OU to Cooks Children Hospital and Chris and his wife Ashley were working on helping their baby thrive and survive when this happened to Chris. Chris is the only income for the family since Ashely has to be there to care for Maddi and Lily at all time’s. Chris can no longer work and has been moved to a special hospital in Dallas for rehabilitation. We pray that with rehab that Chris will be able to one day hold his children again and hold his wife again. We are asking for prayers and lots and lots of them. We don’t know what the future holds for Chris and his family right now but we know with God’s healing hands and God’s mercy the sky is the limit. Chris is a wonderful person but he’s the best father and husband in the world. He loves his family so very much and his wife and children are his everything.
I am trying to raise money for expenses for his medical needs and for his children to have their needs met as well as his wife to be able to drive back and forth to the hospital and also pay for her to stay at the hotel so that she can be with Chris every step of the way. The children are being cared for by the family so that Ashley can be there to support Chris but also encourage him to fight and to not give up on life. None of us know what he’s going through and our love and support is critical to his recovery. And I don’t mean financially but rather our prayers and reaching out to Chris and Ashley and offering a helping hand or a chat on the phone to encourage him to keep going.
