Financial help for Anoki Casey

Hi, friends of Anoki!

Anoki has been suffering from extreme headaches and issues with his ears; this started about two months ago, with the headaches getting worse over the past month. Anoki was admitted to the ER 3 weeks ago and diagnosed with two subacute hematomas, one on each side of his brain; the doctors were surprised because there was no head trauma.

Anoki spent three days in the hospital and was discharged on the 14th of April; at the time, his Neurosurgeon did not deem it necessary for him to have surgery. He spent two nights at home, but it was too difficult for him to take care of himself. Since then, he has been staying with us ( Clyde and Michael ).

Anoki was not getting any better, his headaches continued to be super debilitating, and he has been bed-bound for the past three weeks, unable to work at all.

A second visit to a different Neurosurgeon found an accumulation of fluid on either side of his brain; surgery is scheduled for this Friday, May 13th.

Anoki is one of the kindest, caring and loving persons that we know, we love him, and he has been part of our little family ( Clyde -Michael- Anoki -Gracie and Greta the cats )for the past seven years; we can't imagine our life without him.

Anoki needs a little financial help to meet his daily expenses, mainly rent and utilities. Fortunately, he has insurance, and we think most of his surgery will be covered.

All of you who know and love Anoki know how fiercely independent he is and would never ask for help, but we are unsure how long his recovery will take. As with any head surgery, we don't know when he will be able to return to his freelance work, and we want to make sure some of his expenses are covered for the next couple of months.
