Hello and welcome. My name is Sandra Cribb and I am raising funds for my son and his family after his wife experienced an unexpected medical emergency.
As many of you know, our son Nick and his wife Michelle are expecting their second child in July and have been eagerly anticipating the baby’s arrival. However, last Friday their excitement turned to worry when Michelle’s water broke months earlier than expected. Contractions followed. She was rushed to an area hospital, where doctors determined that she needed to be transported to McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, SC, an hour and a half away from home. Michelle was admitted and there she will stay for the remainder of her pregnancy. As of Mother’s Day, she was stable and the docs have been able to halt labor, though it's anyone’s guess for how long.
This turn of events obviously means Michelle will not be able to continue dog grooming, and Nick will need to remain with her as the distance is just too far from home to travel back and forth. Thankfully their medical insurance “should” cover “most” of the cost of Michelle’s hospital stay and the necessary medical interventions for the baby should Michelle deliver prematurely.
However, with both being unable to work for an undetermined amount of time, it’s inevitable that their funds will be depleted sooner than later as regular household bills certainly don't just disappear during difficult times. They were also in the process of several necessary home repairs prior to this emergency and would undoubtedly have to put those repairs on hold now. Many tasks on their list needed to be completed prior hurricane season as preventative measures to avoid future financial burdens. (tree removal, etc).
They are doing their best to remain optimistic and hopeful. Any donations or support would mean the world to Nick and Michelle and would go a long way towards helping them through these challenges.
WE ARE HUMBLY ASKING FOR YOUR HELP AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, YOUR PRAYERS!! It would be wonderful if we were collectively able to ease the strain of their financial situation. While our main goal is to raise enough funds for their living expenses during this crisis, we would also like to help them complete their home maintenance projects prior to returning home to ensure they have a safe place to live and have peace of mind.
Dwayne and I are doing what we can by teaming up with Michelle’s parents, Bob and Beth, to take care of Keilah until the baby is born and all are safely able to return home. Her parents are keeping their dogs too. Together we are trying to manage all of our businesses without the usual help of Nick and Michelle, while also taking on the responsibilities of their household, all which would probably be much easier to manage if we weren't in our 50's and 60’s and were already overworked and exhausted. Our hats off to all those who find enough time and energy as grandparents to do this kind of stuff full time. Whew!
Any help that can be offered would be welcomed. Looking forward to the day when their baby can come home and they can start their new life together with big sister, Keilah.
Thank you for your support!
