Help with bills as I begin chemotherapy!
After five years of avoiding chemo in my battle with GCT (Granulosa Cell Tumor), it looks like I can no longer. My most recent labs and scan have shown an increase in markers, as well as a lot of growth, meaning I am no longer stable (in other words, it has "woken up" and is progressing).
Treatment should be starting sometime next month.
This news of course came at an inopportune time as my family has been facing financial hardship, struggling to pay bills and make ends meet.
UPDATE!
My husband will be starting a new job this month, which is great news but there is a down side. This will cause me to lose my state insurance, leaving me to look elsewhere, pay monthly, in addition to the thousands and thousands of dollars that will have to come out of pocket (after insurance) for every infusion.
So this leaves me no choice but to ask for help. Help ease the pressure of medical bills, with gas getting back and forth from treatment, food and supplies to help me meal prep for my family for those days that I can barely get out of bed, and things to help me through treatment.
A little extra help is BEYOND appreciated.
