Friends and family, I'm heartbroken having to write this message, but I'm in an awful financial situation and need help.

For the past year, I've been working off a medical debt I came into back in February 2024; I was admitted into the ER while struggling with breathing problems. Over that time, I was hit with additional and unexpected bills related to that experience. As many of you already know, I was laid off in March 2024, and spent the better part of the year striving to find stable work.

This need for help comes specifically due to taxes. Between my efforts to find stable work, relying on self-employment writing income, and a contract role that is considered 1099 self-employment income, I've been hit extraordinarily hard with taxes. Between Federal and State taxes, I owe $4,593.

Of this, $645 is set to be withdrawn from my account on April 15th (this is State taxes). The rest of what I owe I'm able to get on a payment plan for.

I'm hoping to raise $5000 because not only will this help clear my tax debt, but it'll provide additional relief while addressing the remainder of my medical debt and other bills.

Any donations are tremendously appreciated. It bothers me having to reach out like this, but our household is under so much stress as both Anna and I are navigating awful debt situations.
