Financial Crisis From Major Surgery
In May of 2012 I received my first abnormal Pap smear. Through the years following I had several colposcopies (biopsies) and it seemed things were remaining stable. Suddenly everything changed in September of 2016 when I began having severe abdominal pains and went to see my doctor.
They did ultrasound and CT scan and determined that I had CIN II (stage 2 precancerous). The active cells at this point were very aggressive and I needed a LEEP surgery.
By the time scheduling allowed for surgery it was January of 2017 and in that brief time it had progressed yet again to Stage III. In a follow up in June 2017 my doctor told me things had slowed but were still progressing. This was devastating to hear as a single mom knowing my daughters rely on and trust in me so much.
On July 17th the abdominal pains returned and were even more severe. I immediately went to the ER and an ultrasound/CAT scan revealed multiple tumors in my uterus. This was a new progression as the previous test showed no signs of tumors. At this point major surgery to remove my cervix and uterus is the only safe treatment option. This will involve a minimum of two months unpaid leave from work and my health insurance will terminate once divorce is final in March 2018. Time is of the essence and I must cover cost for living expenses during this time.
Ive always been a fighter but this time life circumstances force me to ask for help. Please share this with others and every small donation will help me survive this crisis and provide for my family on my road to recovery.
