- For those who don't know my name is david, I am an armed security officer or well i guess I could say I WAS a armed security officer working for the same company the past 3 years on and off. I was working at the Family Dollar on 35th and North when this incident happened. It was a normal day and I was greeting people walking in and leaving and just keeping my eye on the store like I always do. All the sudden out of nowhere I got blindsided and remember my vision just going black for a second or what felt like a second. After my vision went black I heard a gunshot and started seeing again and all I saw was the door because that's what I wanted to use to get away from the situation. I ended up running across the whole entire parking lot Until I Collapse on the ground. At that time I realized I was very injured and possibly shot( later I find out that I was hit in the face with the crowbar giving me an orbital fracture and also fractures in my jaw cheekbone. I also have Staples down my belly button because they had to open me up and fix my colon because it was nicked in the process of the bullet going through me. So the reason why I'm making this GoFundMe page is because my workman's comp hasn't kicked in and I don't know when it will kick in, and because I'm not working I have no income right now and I'm having a really hard time getting the things I need for me and my family and also feel like I'm mentally a little damage from this whole thing making it hard also on my family not only me so any kind of compensation for what I got through to help with groceries the car maintenance physical therapy gym membership any of those things will help me get back to be the person that I need to be. I don't care if you don't need a dollar anything helps right now with the situation I'm in I feel bad I even have to make one of these never thought I would I'm usually the one using one of these to help somebody but no the shoes have changed feet and I hope there are some people who care about me out there. I appreciate anyone and everyone who can help out during this rough time I'm having and my family as well
