Hi, my name is Sarah, the daughter of Lynelle and Phill.

On the 2nd of October, our lives changed when my dad, Phill, suffered a stroke. He’s spent the past week in hospital and will need to stay longer as he begins the long road of rehabilitation - relearning how to use his right hand, arm and foot, and retraining his brain to do everyday things we all take for granted.

Dad isn’t able to come home yet, as he needs constant care and support. My mum, Lynelle, continues to work night shifts as a registered nurse to keep things going, but with Dad unable to return to work for the foreseeable future, things have become incredibly tough for them both.

Anyone who knows my parents knows how hardworking, selfless and loving they are. They’ve always been the first to lend a hand to others, and now they need a bit of help themselves.

I’m hoping to raise some funds to ease the financial stress so Mum and Dad can focus on what matters most - Dad’s recovery and their wellbeing - without the constant worry of bills and daily expenses.
