Bill Abel, a resident of Berry Creek, is a beloved family friend who is known in his community as a prolific artist. He, like many others who call Berry Creek, CA home, lost his home to the Bear Fire this month. The fire was not expected to jump to Berry Creek and stunned many, resulting in fatalities and the loss of many homes and the town itself. Bill Abel lost many paintings to the fire, all of which are irreplaceable originals. These works of art are a huge loss for Bill and the community. Once Bill learned about the fire, he rushed to his friend's home to save their dogs and valuables, but was not able to salvage his own. Bill is such a kind, generous, loving man, a man who thinks of others first, a man who has a heart for those around him and cares deeply for those he loves.
There are no words to describe the feelings of displacement when losing a home in such a sudden and horrific way...I cannot even imagine how he may feel. Bill not only lost his home to the fire, he lost his town.
I created this GoFundMe to raise funds for Bill Abel to help support him during this difficult time. Bill did not have fire insurance which leaves him in a very vulnerable and challenging situation. Thankfully he is loved. Please join me in blessing Bill with financial support. He didn't ask for me to do this, but it is the right thing to do. We all need support during different times in our life. This is a time when Bill needs our support most.
All donations will go directly to Bill Abel.
Thank you so much for your generosity,
Savannah Adler
