On Valentine’s Day, Andy handcrafted cards for his two kids before heading to work, not knowing he wouldn’t be back for almost a month.

His rheumatologist called him that morning, advising him to go straight to the ER because the issues he’d been having weren’t polymyositis coming back, but possibly something worse.

After days of painstaking waiting in the hospital, Andy was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. As a family of faith, we knew we couldn’t stop praying and believing. Those prayers and that faith is working, and Andy was released from the hospital a few days after his first treatment. Imagine those hugs when he got home!

So many people from different seasons of Andy’s life have stepped up to pray and reach out to him and he is blown away by your support. His skilled doctors have also been an answer to prayer and he’s receiving treatments every two weeks for the next few months. He’s up 30 pounds already and the reports are very optimistic - he’s recovering faster than most!

Another way to be involved in this miracle is through financial support. Andy’s getting short term disability but it’s significantly less than his normal income. Considering that and the amount of unpaid days off he had to take in the months leading up to this, his family has been under financial stress. I’m organizing this fundraiser to help relieve that stress and allow him to really focus on his health and family during this recovery time.
