Finance Iris Baldwin's Breast Cancer Poetry Book!

Hi, my name is Iris Balwin. In January 2021 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. I spent my year of cancer treatment transforming all my experiences in cancer care into hopeful poetry to cheer and encourage myself. This September I'll be celebrating my second cancer remission anniversary. Now that I am finishing up editing all the 110 pieces of poetry I created to help myself feel better during treatment I am ready to share my creations with the world in a published book.

I am working with a self-publishing company that has a great reputation, and that will help me present a professional and polished book for worldwide distribution. I have also created all the visual art for the book myself. I am still in the process of paying my cancer doctors for all they did to help me reach cancer remission in 2021, and I'm on disability. So I don't have adequate income to finance this book published on my own.

Once my book is out in print, each person who donates to this fundraiser will be invited to select their favorite poem or artwork from the book to be given as a signed print as my thank-you gift for helping me share this book with cancer patients everywhere. And before that, I'll be sending each donor a special membership certificate for "The Pink Lemonade Brigade." Everyone who donates will receive this certificate, and all will be listed on a special page near the back of the book which will share with readers that The Pink Lemonade Brigade are the people who provided the funds to transform this book from a cancer patient's dream into reality.

I am calling my donors The Pink Lemonade Brigade because when life gave me breast cancer lemons I immediately got to work making Pink Lemonade. Thank you for considering donating to help me inspire and encourage cancer patients everywhere.
