Hi, I am Barry Keating, raising the funds to pay for rehearsals, performers, filming, and editing the film that will capture the July 14 cabaret production of Jim Steinman's and Barry Keating's RHINEGOLD, an explosive rock musical based on Wagner's Das Rheingold--starring 2019 Tony Award Winner André De Shields, with a rainbow cast of stellar singer/actors. The legendary show was first performed in NYC in 1973 and through exciting but rather ghostly tapes has built up a worldwide following of fans and admirers. Since Jim Steinman's death, it has been the goal of many of us to produce this extraordinary show live once more, to be filmed and recorded with the best technical equipment available. The performance on July 14th was everything we could have hoped for--the only thing missing now is the remaining funds it will take to complete the film and release it to fans, friends, and those many around the world who were not able to be there live!
